The Vampire Story Chapter 4As time moved on Athena and I moved with the population, going where the ‘Capital of the World’ was—be it Istanbul, London or Paris. Always we lived in the center of the world, in the middle of the mortal world, our immortal eyes watching with both sorrow and joy as the world turned ever onward.
